ALI KIBAR

Born in Kayseri  in  October 12' 1958.  He graduated from Istanbul Saint Michel  Lycee and then Marmara University, Faculty of Economic and Commercial Sciences.

He assumed an active position in his family-owned company in 1983 and appointed as Chairman of Kibar Holding in January 2014. Besides various industrial and commercial activities including the fields of iron and sheet,  aluminium,  foodstuff, logistics, automotive, automotive subordinate industry, energy, product security,  foreign trade company activities, etc. he has assumed several responsibilities in 25 companies under the structure of the holding as Chairman and/or member of BOD.

Mr. Kibar the Chairman of Korean-Turkish Friendship Association,  the Chairman of Turkish-Korean Business Council, the Chairman of Turkish Employers' Foundation of Aluminium Industry (TALSAD) and the representative member of Turkey in European Aluminium Association.

Between 1999-2007, he has been the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Istanbul and since May 23rd, 2007 he is being appointed as Honorary Consul General of The Republic of Korea in Kayseri. Since October 2011, he is being appointed as Honorary Consul General of The Republic of Kazakhstan in Kocaeli.  

Kibar is also  Board Trustees Member of Turkish Disable Sports, Help, Education Foundation (TESYEV), Turkish Education Foundation (TEV), World Wildlife Foundation (WWF), Acibadem University and Abdullah Gul University;      member of TUSIAD (Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association),  Young Businessmen's Association, Young Executives and Businessmen's Association and one of the founders of Young Presidents' Organisation (YPO) Bosphorus Chapter; Board member of Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK),  Kibar Education Help Foundation,  Association of Energy Efficiency.  Furthermore, he is also engaged in miscellaneous activities carried out in various social aid and charity foundations.

On October 5th 2010, he has been honoured by The Korean Government with "Korean Moran Order of Civil Merit" . Ali Kibar is fluent in French and English languages.  He is married and has two children.
