Born in 1977 in Akçakoca, Burhan Özdemir completed his primary and secondary education in Akçakoca.

After completing his undergraduate education as a Civil Engineer at Dumlupınar University, he completed his Master's Degree in Structural Engineering at the University of Manchester Technical University (The University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology), England. He is still at the PhD thesis stage at Marmara University, Middle East and Islamic Countries Research Institute.

He published Technical Papers in the field of advanced Construction Technologies in England during his postgraduate education. He developed the first-ever tried method to increase earthquake resistance on Ferrocement cement type, and this work was published at the 2002 France International Conference on Reinforced Concrete Construction Repair and was awarded by the British Institute of Civil Engineers̈.

Between 2002-2005, he worked in the UK Nuclear Energy Department of Jacobs Engineering, one of the few technical consultancy companies in America. He took part in the design, construction and commissioning projects of Nuclear Stations under BNFL (British Nuclear Fuel Limited).

Between 2005-2006, he was in the management of the project studies of the British Highways and Railways Public Institutions at Mouchel, the leading company in the UK's transportation sector.

He joined Campbell Reith Hill company in 2006-2008, took part in the design and management of Urban Transformation Projects and Health Integrated Facilities Public-Private Partnership projects.

He returned to Turkey at the beginning of 2008 and founded OPTİMAL. OPTİMAL provides Project Planning, Construction Management and Consultancy services for investments such as Pharmaceutical Facilities, Defense Industry Facilities, Highway and Railway Transportation Projects, Infrastructure and Energy Projects, Educational Buildings, Public Buildings, Hospital, Housing, Office, Hotel in the national and international arena. Nearly 500 Technical Personnel operate in 9 offices across the country and at 3 different points abroad. Burhan Özdemir is currently the Chairman of Optimal Board of Directors.

Operating in the field of Real Estate Development and Investment, Özdemir is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of MILLSTONE Real Estate & Construction, which invests in real estate in foreign countries such as Germany and England.

Ozdemir, who was elected as a Member of the Board of Directors at the 27th Ordinary General Assembly of MUSIAD, was appointed as the Vice President.

Burhan Özdemir was elected as the President at the 28th Ordinary General Assembly of MÜSİAD.

Burhan Özdemir has a good command of English and is married with four children.
