He was born in 1968 in Tonya-Trabzon.

He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Industrial Engineering Department in 1990. Gültepe, who completed his MBA master's degree at İstanbul University in 1997, entered the sector in Taha Tekstil in 1992 after graduating. He is the founding partner and chairman of the board of Talu Tekstil, which was established in 1994 as a subordinate of Taha Group. Mr. Gültepe, which has been in the ready-made clothing industry for 30 years. He has production facilities in Istanbul, Sakarya and Malatya and employs approximately 3.400 people.

He served as the Chairman of Sakarya 1st Organized Industrial Zone between 2017-2021

Mr. Gültepe, who has been on the Board of İHKİB since 2010, served as the Vice Chairman of the Board between 2014-2018 and became the Chairman of the Board of İHKİB in the elections held in April 2018 and still continues.

Mr. Gültepe has been elected as the Chairman of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) at the 29th General Assembly held on June.

Mustafa Gültepe is married, has three children and speaks English.
