After graduating from Kadıköy Anatolian High School, Tolga Demirözü completed his bachelors and masters degree at Yıldız Technical University, Department of Chemical Engineering. Demirözü has 25 years of experience in general management, business development, strategy, marketing, business restructuring, M&A, JVs and operations including capital projects & investments experience in Türkiye, Europe, Middle East, Africa, South-East Asia, Russia & CIS and Australian markets with core focus to chemicals, petrochemicals, refinery, pharmaceutical, automotive, agriculture, FMCG and energy sectors. He held several management positions at Nestle both in Türkiye and its international operations and later on led strategy and operation projects at Deloitte Türkiye across various industries. In 2008, he stepped into BASF Turk and following the international projects in BASF, he assumed the position of BASF Turk Information Systems and Supply Chain Director followed by taking the role of Operations Director. Tolga continued his career in 2018 as SOCAR – PETKİM & STAR VP, Refinery & Petrochemical Business Unit and VP, Capital Projects & Investment Business Units. Tolga rejoined in May 2022 BASF Türk as Managing Director of BASF Türk and Country Cluster Head – Türkiye & Azerbaijan & Georgia. Tolga has recently worked intensively in the fields of green deal transformations, circularity and low-carbon economy. Demirözü is the Chairperson of YASED, TÜSİAD Germany Working Group President and has board memberships at IMSAD, TKSD, BOSAD and BBI. Demirözü is married and has two children.
