On 18 September 2015, DEİK and Somalia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) signed an agreement to establish DEİK/Türkiye-Somalia Business Council to advance the economic relations between the two countries by business forums, delegation visits, meetings and seminars organisations.
Somalia’s economy is based majory on agriculture and livestock, making 40% to the country’s GDP and over 50% of its export earnings.
